Welcome to Branson, Missouri! Over 8 million vacationers came to Branson in 2007 with many more in 2008. The year 2006 marked a record in new development for the Branson/Lakes Area with the addition of the $420 million Branson Landing in historic downtown Branson. "Titanic…The Legend Continues" welcomes guests to an unprecedented look at the fateful voyage; and Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater and Grill presents the music, the rock legends, the cars, and the lifestyle of the rock'n roll era, both opened in 2006.

In 2007, the Branson Convention Center, Home Depot, TJ Maxx, and Kohl's Department Store opened. In 2008, the construction boom is still going on in Branson Hills with the addition of a Wal-Mart Super Center, Best Buy, Petco, and Michaels, all of which are scheduled to open this year. It has been reported that Sam's Club is being planned in Branson Hills to be built in the next two years. In addition, the Branson Regional Airport is under construction in Branson Creek and air travel to Branson by a major airline will be possible when it opens.
